Side Line Snacks

Side Line Snacks

When you’re watching a soccer match from the sidelines, you have to come as prepared as the athletes do. Between watching your go-to players, waiting through halftime, or pacing the sidelines, you’re going to get hungry. It’s important to fuel the athletes before and after the game, but it’s also important to cure your own hunger throughout the match. This season, take your sideline snacks to the next level to make spectating much more enjoyable!

Aside from having the basic fruit, vegetables, and granola bars, here are some more inventive sideline snacks to make game day 10 times better:

Watermelon Salad

When summer roles around, a fan-favorite is the classic watermelon salad. Chop up some watermelon, feta, red onion, basil, and avocado, and mix it all together with some lime dressing. It’s easy to make and will cool you off during those hot summer game-days.

Kabobs

Kabobs can be the easiest way to have and pack a snack. Chop up your favorite fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, and more, and simply stack them all onto a skewer. This keeps you from having to carry a handful of other containers by keeping everything in one place!

Miniature Sandwiches

You can’t go wrong by sticking with some miniature sandwiches to bring to the sidelines. They’re easy to make, easy to pack, and with a simple toothpick you won’t have to worry about them falling apart during the travel time.

Trail mix

Trail mix is one of the easiest sideline snacks to have, and you can make it styled to your own preferences. Whether it be a mixture of nuts, seeds, pretzels, M&M’s, or dried fruits, you can easily slip a few containers into your bag to find when you’re craving something sweet and salty.

No Bake Cheesecake Bites

If you’re looking for a sideline snack that is more on the sweet side, cheesecake bites are a go-to. Not only are they easy to make, but they are small enough to carry to a soccer match. They only take 3 easy steps to make, and then you could be indulging in some cold cheesecake bites on a hot summer day.

Tortilla Rollups

Vegetable, ham & cheese, peanut butter and jelly, or even cream cheese. There are so many options on how you can make a tortilla roll-up! These bite size snacks are an easy option to make and are a great crowd pleaser if you end up sharing with a friend or two.

Deviled Eggs

On a hot summer day, you can’t go wrong with deviled eggs. Not only are they a fan favorite, but they’re super easy to make. You can change things up by adding new toppings including peppers, avocado, or your favorite seasonings.

Guacamole, Salsa, or Hummus

Both homemade and store-bought dips taste delicious and can be an easy snack to carry along with you. Pair your choice of salsa, guac, or hummus with some pita or crackers, and you’re set!

Cereal Bars

All you need is some of your favorite cereal, peanut butter, and corn syrup, and you can make your very own cereal bars. Pack what you’d like, and then freeze the rest for future game days.
