Ted Lasso Season 4 - Everything You Need To Know

Ted Lasso Season 4 - Everything You Need To Know

Just like in the feel-good soccer series, Ted Lasso fans continued to ‘Believe’ and now a new season is in the works! The Emmy-winning Apple TV+ original series was intended to span across only three seasons, but it was announced this year that Ted Lasso season 4 is officially in production. This news came as a complete shock to fans, as the third season wrapped up two years ago with the storyline seemingly coming to its fitting conclusion surrounding Ted’s story. However, it's not over for Coach Lasso and the upcoming season will follow him as he takes on his ‘biggest challenge yet’ according to the showrunners.

Filming kicked off in Kansas City, which is also the hometown of series star Jason Sudeikis, and fans are eager to see the other familiar faces returning to AFC Richmond. Ted Lasso has captured the hearts of viewers and critics alike, full of unexpected twists and unforgettable moments involving the fictional English football club. The comedy-series is not only praised for its signature humour and uplifting storytelling, but also for increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting understanding and support for mental health issues. In anticipation of the show’s return, here’s everything you need to know about Ted Lasso Season 4!

What is Ted Lasso Season 4 About?

We don’t have a lot of details surrounding the Ted Lasso Season 4 storyline just yet, but we have gotten some teasers from Apple TV+ that suggest what it could be about. Ted Lasso, the beloved American football coach-turned-soccer manager is set to return to Richmond as he navigates the unique challenges of coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the season Ted and the team will have to learn to leap before they look and take chances they never thought they would. Season 3 concluded with AFC Richmond thinking about launching a women’s team after Keeley Jones pitched the idea. The men’s side also narrowly missed out on Premier League glory, leading us to believe Season 4 will involve chasing the elusive title. In a statement, Jason Sudeikis said, “As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap.’ In Season 4, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to leap before they look, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.” As vague as the teaser may be, fans can expect even more life lessons filled with humour and heart in the upcoming season!
