It will be running from May 15 to September 7, 2026, at Science World in Vancouver, which is already one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks and will become an even bigger attraction during the FIFA World Cup celebrations. From advanced broadcasting systems to player analytics, the exhibition takes visitors behind the scenes of modern soccer in a way you’ve never seen before.

What Can Visitors Expect from the Experience?

Visitors can expect a highly interactive and immersive experience that combines sports history, technology, hands-on activities, and real FIFA artifacts! The exhibition is designed to appeal to both soccer fans and anyone who wants to learn more about how technology influences sports in general. The exhibition is organized by five themed zones that focus on different aspects of the game, including broadcasting, intelligent data, refereeing, stadium preparation, and future innovation. Lots of these sections have interactive displays where you’ll be able to play with the technology, make decisions like a referee would, and so much more hands-on experiences!

One of the biggest highlights from the entire exhibit is the chance to see the Adidas Trionda, the official match ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which includes connected ball technology and built-in motion sensors used for data tracking during matches. Visitors can also get up close to the actual camera used during the 1954 FIFA World Cup, experience referee review technology similar to VAR systems used at FIFA tournaments and explore the science behind turf technology. The exhibition also includes Canadian soccer memorabilia connected to major international moments, including items used/worn by Christine Sinclair, Alphonso Davies, and many more.
