F1 fans, start your engines and prepare yourself for the upcoming Formula 1 2025 season! The 2025 calendar promises to be a thrilling year for racing fans as it celebrates the 75th anniversary of the FIA Formula One World Championship. Packed with exciting races across the globe, including the return of fan favourite venues, the upcoming season is sure to be a spectacle of even more battles, controversy and drama. In addition to the excitement of witnessing 24 races around the world, fans are also looking forward to seeing Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari and more rookies in the mix for an action-packed year. Some rule changes worth noting have also been made, including the fastest lap point being removed, more practice runs for the rookies, and the teams will choose which race weekend a rookie can participate in. The new campaign kicks off in Melbourne, Australia, from March 14 to 16th, so let’s go over everything you need to know to get you ready for lights out!
F1 Teams & Driver Line-Ups

The 2025 Formula 1 grid has had some major changes with only two teams, McLaren and Aston Martin, keeping the same driver line-up as last season. However, one of the biggest and most anticipated changes is seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton’s switch to Ferrari for 2025. Fans will also see the return of some familiar faces with 6 rookies making their full-time debut. One rookie that fans are eager to see return is 19-year-old Oliver Bearman, who made a lasting impression when standing in for Carlos Sainz at Ferrari and Kevin Magnussen at Haas last season. Alongside Bearman is the return of New Zealand’s Liam Lawson, who competed in 11 races over 2023 and 2024 in F1 and is now set to be Max Verstappen’s new teammate at Red Bull.
The 2024 Formula 2 Champion, Gabriel Bortoleto is going to be driving for Sauber, while Isack Hadjar is joining Racing Bulls, Red Bull’s sister team. The replacement for Hamilton at Mercedes is none other than 18-year-old Andrea Kimi Antonelli, while Jack Doohan is stepping up to a full-time seat at Alpine after making his debut in Abu Dhabi last season. We can’t wait to see our all-time favourites and rising stars back on the track!

2025 F1 Calendar
Everyone is gearing up for a lengthy season of F1 in 2025, which consists of 24 races across 21 countries. While there are no new locations – the race venues are the same as the previous season – there are some changes to the schedule. Australia will once again kick off the season in Melbourne from March 14 to 16 for the first time since 2019, before heading to China from March 21 to 23, which also hosts the first F1 Sprint of 2025.
The overall geographical flow of the race has been improved with Japan (April 4 to 6) hosting the third event of the season, before the Bahrain (April 11 to 13) and Saudi Arabian (April 18 to 20) Grands Prix take place. Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have been moved to rounds 4 and 5 in April because of the holy month of Ramadan in March. Las Vegas will continue to hold its race on a Saturday, with all sessions brought forward by 2 hours. The grand prix will take place at 20:00 local time (04:00 GMT on the Sunday). Lastly, the Spanish Grand Prix will be hosted by Barcelona for the final time before the move to Madrid in 2026.
A trip to Miami (May 2 to 4) for Round 6 is followed by the European races, then by visits to Azerbaijan (September 19 to 21) and Singapore (October 3 to 5). F1 then returns to the Americas before Qatar (November 28 to 30) and Abu Dhabi (December 5 to 7) finish the season back-to-back.
