Something special was released this year – the new and inspiring EQUALS documentary series presented by UEFA. The six-part series, free to view on UEFA.tv, takes a deep dive into the rise of women’s football after the record-breaking UEFA Women’s Euro 2022.

The UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 captivated audiences across the world and proved to be an inspiration to women across Europe. The series examines the rapid rise in women’s football across Europe, as well as the challenges that are still present in the women’s sport. In each episode, there’s a major theme paired with players from all sixteen teams that participated In the EURO last summer. The players candidly share their opinions and experiences, as well as what the future holds for them. Here’s what UEFA managing director, Nadine Kessler, has to say about the series:

“I am incredibly grateful towards the players that shared their stories and emotions for this series in the midst of last summer's historic UEFA Women's EURO 2022. Because of that, EQUALS gives viewers unprecedented access with the top stars in our sport, from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. Fans will experience the game like never before, as well as better understand the exciting future that lies ahead for women's football."

In the series you’ll see stars, including Alexia Putellas (Spain/FC Barcelona), Leah Williamson (England/Arsenal FC), and Sarah Zadrazil (Austria/Bayern München), bring light to the change in the women’s sport and inspire young women across the world that it’s possible to achieve what we’re told is impossible.
