This December, the magic of Disney is teaming up with fans of the beautiful game for an unforgettable event held at Walt Disney World Resort. The 2025 Disney Young Legends Soccer Tournament hosted by ESPN Wide World of Sports is bringing together young athletes from around the world for a weekend of fun competition held at pro-level facilities with pristine natural grass fields and Disney magic that makes every moment unforgettable. Teams participating in the open division of the event will also be treated to some surprise appearances from their favourite Disney characters cheering the teams on from the sidelines. Imagine scoring a winning goal and looking over to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse celebrating along with you! Between the matches, you and your team can also explore the parks and celebrate victories at, the ultimate destination for dining, shopping and entertainment, Disney Springs.

What makes this event truly special is the “work-life balance” the tournament provides! On the field, the young athletes will be put to the ultimate challenge in (what feels like) high stakes matches in front of cheering crowds. But off the field, fun is more than just optional – it's encouraged! The event organizers have made sure the weekend is filled with the best hospitality, entertainment and magical moments that only Disney can offer. If that doesn’t sound perfect enough already, the event is being held in December when the parks will be decked out for the holiday season, making it even more magical for everyone. What is the Young Legends Soccer Tournament?

The Young Legends Soccer tournament is one of six premium tournaments on the 2025-26 schedule. Soccer events at Disney were created to inspire the next generation of soccer players. Around 16,000 athletes from across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America participate in Disney Soccer events each year. The 2025 Young Legends Soccer Tournament is a brand-new event being held at Walt Disney World Resort from December 28 to 30, 2025. It introduces a 16-team "Supergroup" division for exceptional U17 and U19 boys' teams (32 teams total). The magical tournament also includes an open division for all boys’ and girls’ teams ages U9 and U19. 

Each age division will feature ONE FLIGHT, with the bracket winners, or bracket winners plus top wildcard, advancing to the playoffs. The playoff format will be determined by the size of the group and awards will be given out to the first and second place winners for each age group. You may have also noticed that the Disney Boys Soccer Showcase on the Disney Soccer schedule has now been replaced by the new Young Legends tournament.

●      January 16-19, 2026: Disney Girls Soccer Showcase (Girls U15-U19)

●      February 14-16, 2026: Disney President’s Day Soccer Tournament (Boys & Girls U9-U19)
