These men spend countless hours driving to and from practices, they sit through games in the freezing cold and the blistering heat, and they’re always ready to run back home for any items left behind. The most positive parent on the sidelines, this dad’s catch phrase is “as long as you have fun.” Loud and proud, he provides encouragement to the entire team (and sometimes even the opposing side). He sees the game as his time to unwind and would rather sit back and relax than chit-chat with the other parents. His player may or may not be the best on the team, but they frequently come to practice sporting the latest gear. The Invested Competitor cares deeply about his kid’s future and will do everything he can to see them succeed.
This dad drives straight from the office to the field. Still dressed in slacks and a button-up shirt, he always makes games despite a busy schedule! The Busy Businessman sits in his lawn chair answering emails on his smartphone, looking up here and there to give a whole-hearted wave. Though he may not be all that interested in soccer, his punctual presence demonstrates this soccer dad’s love of his player.
